The addition of Tasmanian men\u2019s team and several star players signing on for the expanded South East Conference promises to deliver first class tennis action.<\/p>\n
The player headline acts in the men\u2019s competition will be recent US Open boys\u2019 singles and doubles titles winner Omar Jasika<\/b> (Tennis World Taipans), current Davis Cup team members Sam Groth<\/b> (Dingley Dingoes) who reached a career high ATP singles ranking of No. 92 (July 2014) and Chris<\/b> Guccione<\/b> (Tennis World Taipans), and Luke Saville<\/b> (Royal South Yarras) former junior world\u00a0No. 1 and winner of both the 2011 Wimbledon boys\u2019 singles title and the 2012 Australian Open boys\u2019 singles title.<\/p>\n
The women\u2019s competition will feature current and former\u00a0Fed Cup team members Storm Sanders<\/b> (Bayside Thunder)\u00a0and Sally Peers<\/b> (Kooyong Classics), former junior world No. 1 and 2010 US Open girls\u2019 singles winner Daria<\/b> Gavrilova<\/b> (Bayside Thunder) and Anett<\/b> Kontaveit<\/b> (Kooyong Classics) the 2012 US Open girls\u2019 singles finalist.<\/p>\n
The men\u2019s Conference will feature the Dingley Dingoes, Kooyong Classics, Royal South Yarras, Tasmanian Devils, Tennis World Taipans and Waverley Warriors<\/b>.<\/p>\n
The women\u2019s Conference will feature the Frankston Firebirds, Kooyong Classics, MCC Stars, Mornington Missiles, Bayside Thunder and Waverley Warriors<\/b><\/p>\n
The league will commence on Friday 28 November<\/b> and feature 5 rounds. The competition will culminate in a Finals Day at the National Tennis Centre on Sunday 14 December.<\/p>\n
In the ATL South East Conference, teams will compete for the $6000 winners\u2019 cheque<\/b> and the opportunity to progress to the ATL Play-offs at the Australian Open in January<\/b>. Both the winners of the men\u2019s and women\u2019s Conference will complete for $55K prize money (each) against the other State Conference champions and teams from Japan, Korea, New Zealand and Pacific Oceania.<\/p>\n
