{"id":12627,"date":"2014-08-06T12:10:27","date_gmt":"2014-08-06T02:10:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/?p=12627"},"modified":"2014-08-06T12:10:27","modified_gmt":"2014-08-06T02:10:27","slug":"2014-community-sport-and-recreation-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/news\/2014\/08\/06\/2014-community-sport-and-recreation-awards","title":{"rendered":"2014 Community Sport and Recreation Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/commsportandrec.awardsplatform.com\/\"><b>NOMINATE NOW!<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Has your club made a real difference to your local community and participation in sport and active recreation?<\/li>\n<li>Do you know someone who has dedicated significant time and effort to improving your club or organisation?<\/li>\n<li>Is your club\u00a0significantly better off as a result of the contribution of a committed\u00a0volunteer?<\/li>\n<li>Has anyone you\u00a0know performed an extraordinary act or acts that embody the true spirit of\u00a0sport?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If so, then don\u2019t miss out on the opportunity to honour their service by nominating them for the Victorian Government\u2019s 2014 Community Sport and Recreation Awards.<\/p>\n<p>All Victorians are encouraged to nominate their club, team, organisation or individuals who have made a significant contribution to community sport and recreation, across the following eight categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Community Sporting Club of the Year<\/li>\n<li>Outdoor Active Recreation Initiative<\/li>\n<li>Young Volunteer of the Year<\/li>\n<li>Service to Sport and Active Recreation<\/li>\n<li>Welcoming and Inclusive<\/li>\n<li>Community Coach of the Year<\/li>\n<li>Community Umpire or Referee\/Official of the Year<\/li>\n<li>Innovation in Facility Design<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Award winners will receive $3000 with two runners up in each category receiving $1000.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to these eight awards, the Minister for Sport and Recreation will present a special $5000 Minister\u2019s Award.
