The best of Victoria\u2019s tennis talent will converge as one in a 20 day storm of fast paced tennis in the Asia-Pacific Tennis League (ATL) Vic Conference commencing Sunday 10th<\/sup> November at the spiritual home of tennis, Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club.<\/p>\n

Six teams in both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s conferences will compete for the Conference title and cheque of $6000. They will also win the ultimate prize to represent Victoria at the ATL Playoffs in the second week of the 2014 Australian Open at Melbourne Park and compete for $95,000 in prize money against each State Conference winner and teams from New Zealand, Oceania and China.<\/p>\n

Tennis Victoria is excited to announce the venue for the 2013 ATL Vic Conference Final with the \u00a020 day ATL tennis storm concluding with the playing of both the Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s \u00a0Final at the new state of the art National Tennis Centre on Saturday 30th<\/sup> November from 2pm.<\/p>\n

Tennis Victoria is also pleased to announce a partnership with Zaidee\u2019s Rainbow Foundation for the ATL Vic Conference final. The mission and purpose of Zaidee\u2019s Rainbow Foundation is to raise community awareness about organ and tissue donation and to encourage others to not only think about giving this precious gift of life to others, but to turn this into action by registering their wishes on the national organ donation register. Zaidee\u2019s CEO Allan Turner excited by the partnership said \u201cZaidee\u2019s Rainbow Foundation is thrilled to be the Official Charity of the ATL Vic Conference final. Tennis is a sport for everyone and I look forward to seeing the players, officials and ball kids wearing the Zaidee\u2019s Rainbow Shoelaces\u201d.<\/p>\n

Tennis Victoria\u2019s Competition\u2019s Manager Jeff Downes said \u201cThe ATL Vic Conference is set to go to new levels this year. The league\u2019s concept is simply brilliant and exciting for the sport. The stable of star players endorsing the concept this year \u00a0include former Davis Cup players Peter Luczak and Richard Fromberg, and emerging talent in Marc Polmans, Luke Saville and Destanee Aiava. The brother sister due of John and Sally Peers are also listed to play for the Kooyong Classics. The playing of the Final at the new state of the art National Tennis Centre will be a fitting finale to what will undoubtedly be a big 20 days of new age tennis.\u201d<\/p>\n

The competition with its shortened first to 4 format, no let, no deuce, promotes fast paced attractive tennis for players and this combined with the innovative Super Round fixture model where all matches of each round are played at the one venue adds to the carnival like atmosphere of the world of ATL tennis.<\/p>\n
