{"id":10497,"date":"2013-04-13T15:53:25","date_gmt":"2013-04-13T05:53:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/?p=10497"},"modified":"2013-04-13T15:53:25","modified_gmt":"2013-04-13T05:53:25","slug":"the-stage-is-set-for-the-tennis-victoria-premier-league-finals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/news\/2013\/04\/13\/the-stage-is-set-for-the-tennis-victoria-premier-league-finals","title":{"rendered":"The stage is set for the Tennis Victoria Premier League Finals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The stage is set for an epic men\u2019s and women\u2019s final of the Tennis Victoria Premier League to be played tomorrow at Glen Iris Valley Recreation Club.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday night under lights at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, the home side was victorious in the men\u2019s and women\u2019s semifinal defeating Grace Park and Royal South Yarra Lawn respectively.\u00a0 Played on the same night at MCC, the other semifinals saw Peter Luczak\u2019s MCC demolish Waverley, while Delahey Recreation were strong winners over the MCC ladies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The MCC Men\u2019s team showed that they will be a force come finals day tomorrow following their defeat over Waverley.\u00a0 In the absence of Zoe Hives the MCC women\u2019s team wasn\u2019t as successful as their male team mates, struggling to get on the board against Delahey Recreation who were too strong.\u00a0 Viktorija Rajicic showed why she was the Ace Award winner for the competition defeating Eliza Long 6-2 6-0.<\/p>\n<p>The other semifinals at Kooyong Lawn were a much tighter contest with Grace Park putting up a strong fight in the men\u2019s draw while Royal South Yarra Lawn pushed the home side to a close win for the Kooyong Lawn women\u2019s team.<\/p>\n<p>The Tennis Victoria Premier League Finals will be played tomorrow, Sunday 14 April 2013 from 11:45am.\u00a0 All are welcome to come and see what is sure to be a great day of high level tennis.<\/p>\n<p>Finals Squads (qualified players):<br \/>\n<strong><em>Men\u2019s Final<\/em><br \/>\nMCC:<\/strong> Peter Luczak, Rubin Statham, Ryan Agar, Taso Vasiliadis, Michael Logarzo, Ben Ellwood, Andre Mick and David Spierings.<br \/>\n<strong>Kooyong Lawn: <\/strong>Andrew Coelho, Andrew Whittington, Daniel Byrnes, David Bidmeade, Marc Polmans, Mitchell Burman, Will Kneale, and Ricky Robertson.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Women\u2019s Final<\/em><\/strong><strong><br \/>\nKooyong Lawn: <\/strong>Michaela Johansson, Annabelle Andrinopoulos, Molly Polak, Kate Antosik, Brigitte Beck, Destanee Aiava, Alana Parnaby, Laura McNamara and Laura Rabinovich.<br \/>\n<strong>Delahey Recreation: <\/strong>Viktorija Rajicic, Karolina Wlodarczak, Stefani Stojic, Monika Rajicic, Melissa Esguerra and Branka Potkonjak.<\/p>\n<p>Tennis Victoria Premier League <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Ezf5gae2InM\">Finals preview<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Glen Iris Valley Recreation Club, 260 High Street Road, Mt Waverley.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The stage is set for an epic men\u2019s and women\u2019s final of the Tennis Victoria Premier League to be played tomorrow at Glen Iris Valley Recreation Club.
