On the women\u2019s side, Kooyong Lawn topped the table, followed closely by MCC, Delahey Recreation and Royal South Yarra Lawn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe saw some of the big guns of the competition play for their team in a final effort to gain some form heading in to the finals,\u201d said Tennis Victoria\u2019s Competitions Manager Jeff Downes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had Peter Luczak and Rubin Statham (MCC) as well as James Lemke and Jacob Grills (Grace Park) all post convincing wins on the men\u2019s side while Viktorija Rajicic (Delahey Recreation) and Gussie O\u2019Sullivan (Royal South Yarra Lawn) both showed that they will be tough competition in the finals with their strong round 7 wins.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>All the semi-finals will be held on Friday night from 7pm, with MCC and Waverley on the men\u2019s side and MCC and Delahey Recreation on the women\u2019s doing battle at MCC.\u00a0\u00a0The other semi-final will be held at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, with the home team taking on Grace Park and Royal South Yarra Lawn in the men\u2019s and women\u2019s draws respectively.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are some intriguing match ups this weekend with team\u2019s only one match away from the final and their chance to compete for the $4000 winners cheques.\u00a0 On the women\u2019s side, Delahey Recreation will be looking to repeat their round 7 win against MCC who were previously undefeated while the quiet achievers of the competition, Royal South Yarra Lawn, will be looking to surprise heavyweights Kooyong Lawn\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the men\u2019s side,\u00a0Kooyong Lawn will be looking to bounce back from their loss to MCC in Round 7 when they take on a strong Grace Park team, while Waverley Tennis will be looking to cause an upset when they take on top placed MCC in the other semi-final.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, 489 Glenferrie Road, Kooyong on Friday 12 April from 7pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Men\u2019s Semi-final: Kooyong Lawn v Grace Park<br \/>\nWomen\u2019s Semi-final: Kooyong Lawn v Royal South Yarra Lawn<\/p>\n<p><strong>MCC Tennis, Junction Oval, Lakeside Drive, St Kilda on Friday 12 April from 7pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Men\u2019s Semi-final: MCC v Waverley Tennis<br \/>\nWomen\u2019s Semi-final:\u00a0 MCC v Delahey Recreation<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tennis Victoria Premier League men\u2019s and women\u2019s Final<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Winners of the Semi-finals will compete for the TVPL Champions title on Sunday 14 April from 11:45am at Glen Iris Valley Recreation Tennis Club, 260-270 High Street Road, Mt Waverley.
