Victorian Community Tennis Awards<\/h1>\n

The Victorian Community Tennis Awards recognise Victoria\u2019s on and off court success in a community tennis celebration. These awards align with the national Newcombe Medal \/ Australian Tennis Awards.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

To be eligible to nominate for an\u00a0<\/span>Australian Tennis Award<\/a>, nominees must have won the relevant Victorian Community Tennis Award.<\/p>\n

The winners will be announced and presented with their awards at the awards evening. The event will be held on 28 May 2026 at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club. Ticketing information will be coming soon…<\/p>\n

Only information provided in the nomination forms and the supporting information attached to the submission will be considered by the selection panel. The Tennis Victoria Player Awards categories are close awards (no call for nominations), candidates are determined based on performance and results.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tennis Victoria reserves the right to submit nominations for each award category.<\/span><\/p>\n

All decisions in relation to the Awards (including any questions in relation to eligibility) will be determined by the selection panel in its absolute discretion.\u00a0 All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.<\/span><\/p>\n

Voting Process<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Multiple nominations for each of the annual Victorian Community Tennis Awards\u2019 categories are received each year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The voting and decision-making process to establish eventual finalists, and the final winners, is then conducted by broad panels comprising honorary and paid administrators of Tennis Victoria and Tennis Australia and various Victorian sporting industry representatives from the likes of Sport and Recreation Victoria (State Government), VicSport, and other industry bodies relative to categories.<\/span><\/p>\n

This nomination and selection process applies to all annual Awards except for the Victorian Spirit of Tennis award which is decided by the Tennis Victoria Board of Directors.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
