As well as playing in mainstream competitions, players with an intellectual impairment have a number of options available to progress through the tennis pathway from State Championships to National and International opportunities.

Classifications:
There are 3 classifications for Players with an Intellectual Impairment (PWII) that athletes may compete in;
II-1 – Intellectual Disability (IQ under 75),
II-2 – Down Syndrome,
II-3 – Autism.
