Opening Up Tennis

Pilot Program:

Tennis Victoria, with funding support from the Victorian Government, is currently working closely with Tennis Australia to roll out a pilot program for 25+ selected Victorian tennis venues, and implement an online booking system (Book A Court) linked to gate/light access hardware.  This technology will better ‘Open Up Tennis’ to the community, and reduce the burden on club volunteers to enable casual court usage at clubs.

When can your club get involved?

It is anticipated that, subject to a successful pilot program, the technology solution and also Book A Court online booking software will be available to all affiliated clubs.  Venues will be able to choose whether they wish to use the software as a standalone system, or integrated with gate access hardware. Read more.

If your tennis venue would like to be part of future opportunities to implement online bookings linked to gate access hardware, read more here, and contact Tennis Victoria to express your interest in being kept up to date on future developments. Some of the venues listed had gate hardware installed as part of a Phase 1 program, and in late 2015 and early 2016 the remainder of venues have had (or will have) their installation completed as part of a further rollout of the pilot program.  Click on the club links above to view the ‘look & feel’ of the software, and see what stage they are of implementing online bookings for members and casual users – or, Book A Court at one of the venues, and visit to see how it works in practice.
