SENIOR RULE UPDATES AFTER 2022 BY-LAWS WERE ACCEPTED

Please see the
following rule additions/changes that the Senior Competition Committee would
like to amend with immediate effect under bylaw 1.9 (which must then be
presented and voted on at the next AGM)

  1. Add a set of rules for the recently introduced Open Match Play format Open Match Play Rules

2.8.1        
ABANDONED BY THE COMMITTEE

· The Competition Committee shall decide if matches are to be abandoned when the weather is wet or excessive heat prevails. An email shall be sent to Senior Representatives AND/OR allocated email addresses approx. TWO One hour before the appointed starting time denoting the abandonment of that round. A notice will also be posted on the website and Tennis Geelong Facebook page.

· Abandoned matches will not be replayed.

· These matches cannot be used to qualify players as no score is
to be entered into the CRS.

· Points will be divided equally, except when prior notification of a walkover has been given, refer by-law 2.7.5.

· A team having a bye will not receive any points.
