With the Government announcing regional Victoria moving to Stage 3 Restrictions for the next 6 weeks, Tennis Geelong wish to announce that all Competitions will be suspended from today, Sunday 2nd August.
The Saturday Junior and Senior Competitions will be abandoned, and due the limited number of matches played, no winners will be awarded.
Tuesday Midweek is suspended for now, however, this may resume once restrictions are lifted.
There is uncertainty around when we will be able to resume Competitions, but the intention will be to start the Saturday Junior and Senior Competitions, and Thursday Triples in October as normal. Clubs will be advised of when team submissions are required once more is known about restriction levels.
Please note that Point Lonsdale have had to withdraw their team from the section 5 girls green ball competition.This section originally had 7 teams in an 8-team section with a bye. This will now have 6 teams in an 8-team section with 2 byes. Position #8 in the draw will now be a bye, as well as position #7. All results against this team will be removed from LM.
