The opening round of the inaugural SRT Logistics Premier League<\/strong> saw a strong of close encounters take place between six club-affiliated teams at the Domain Tennis Centre on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former top 400 player Raphael Durek claimed a tight singles victory over Casey Ambler on Centre Court, with promising junior George Anderson pairing up with Durek and Tasmanian No.2 Catherine Krueger for back-to back doubles wins to ensure a victory for Glenorchy Stringlab<\/em> over Domain Two-Folk Espresso<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite\nRohan Kerr\u2019s three-set win over Tony Blom in their singles match, solid\nperformances from Andrew Bourke and Nick Fader ensured that Geilston Bay opened\ntheir account against Sunshine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Domain Whisk & Co Caf\u00e9 <\/em>claimed the honours over Geilston Bay, with the rivalry between Edward Bourchier and Sam Edgar continuing to develop following their recent meetings in a number of UTR tournament finals.  Bourchier maintained his edge with a super tie-breaker win, with Jakob Haas also defeating Jack Derrick to lead Domain to victory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
