Tennis Tasmania is calling for nominations for two member-elected board positions.<\/p>\n
In accordance with the constitution, retiring board members Peter Hobday and Heidi Radcliff are eligible for re-election.<\/p>\n
About the Roles The Board comprising 6 elected and 2 appointed members is responsible for overseeing the governance and strategic direction of Tennis Tasmania.<\/p>\n The board typically meets 6 times per year, usually at Campbell Town from 4.30pm \u2013 7.30pm on a Wednesday night.<\/p>\n During the COVID-19 pandemic the board has been meeting via video conference.<\/p>\n Board members are expected to attend the annual general meeting and club forum and awards function associated with the AGM.<\/p>\n Director positions are voluntary.<\/p>\n Selection Process<\/strong><\/p>\n Tennis Tasmania\u2019s Board executive will oversee the process, with a vote to be conducted with all affiliated members between 2 July and 1 August.<\/p>\n Both the President, Martin Turmine, and Vice President Pip Leedham, are available to discuss the role with interested applicants.<\/p>\n Please make contact via email with either Martin at martinturmine@gmail.com<\/a> or Pip at prleedham@gmail.com<\/a> to arrange a discussion time.<\/p>\n To apply, please provide a two-page summary outlining how you meet the Director’s competencies along with a copy of your CV with one referee.<\/p>\n Expressions of interest will be due to Tennis Tasmania by 11:59pm, Tuesday 30 June 2020, emailed to the President, Martin Turmine at martinturmine@gmail.com <\/a>with the title Tennis Tasmania EOI.<\/p>\n Affiliated members will be advised of all candidates with the optimal skills and experience for an election process.<\/p>\n Vision and Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n Vision:<\/strong> More people playing tennis, more often<\/p>\n Aspiration:<\/strong> Make tennis the number one activity of choice in Tasmania<\/p>\n Goals:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1.
