Launceston\u2019s Tanya Dell is the winner of the Hobart International\u2019s biggest-ever fan prize \u2013 the chance to live like a player on finals day.<\/p>\n
Dell, a regular Hobart International attendee, was shocked to learn she had won the major prize in the competition.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was delighted to hear that I won since I didn\u2019t know I entered! I just bought tickets I wanted,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s going to be great.\u201d<\/p>\n
All fans who purchased tickets to the 2019 tournament during November received automatic entry into the draw, with the winner randomly selected.<\/p>\n
Dell wins tickets for two to the 2019 final, which includes accommodation at the official tournament hotel, a pre-final lunch in the player restaurant, tournament transport to and from the venue, and the chance to observe the champion\u2019s post-match press conferences and photo shoot.<\/p>\n
Dell plans to take her mother \u2013 who she attends the tournament with each year.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have been coming for about five or six years now,\u201d she said. \u201cWe like the fact in Hobart we can get around easily. If it rains, we can go shopping and then go back to the tennis.\u00a0It\u2019s really easy to get there and we normally stay in the CBD somewhere and take of advantage of everything.\u201d<\/p>\n
