Meet the team that serves you&#8230;<\/p>\n<h3>Introducing&#8230; Simonne Allwright<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Job title:<\/strong> Club Development Coordinator\u00a0<strong><br \/>\nExplain what you do in your role at Tennis Tasmania:<\/strong> Offer advice and support to clubs to grow participation and plan for their ongoing sustainability. This involves working closely with government to build their confidence to invest in tennis and facilities, and involves working with clubs and other stakeholders (e.g. schools and councils) in areas such as strategic planning, infrastructure, Book a Court, program delivery, club-coach relations, governance and strengthening club-community-council relations. My role also encompasses a range of event operations planning for international tournaments hosted in Tasmania.<strong><br \/>\nWhat is the most rewarding part of your job?<\/strong> Helping local clubs and players of all abilities enjoy their tennis experiences and supporting the hard working volunteers achieve their club goals, big or small.<strong><br \/>\nWhen did you start working with Tennis Tasmania?<\/strong>\u00a0In 2013.<strong><br \/>\nWhat were you doing before joining Tennis Tasmania?<\/strong> Ran a coaching business for about 10 years; worked as a course writer and teacher at Tas TAFE; worked as a tutor and assistant lecturer at UTAS.<br \/>\n<strong>What is your earliest tennis memory?<\/strong> Winning the \u2018novice\u2019 event in my first tournament aged 10.<strong><br \/>\nWhat is your favourite tennis memory?<\/strong> Selection in a training squad with Neale Fraser which included Richard Fromberg.<strong><br \/>\nWho is your favourite professional player? <\/strong>Roger\u00a0Federer for pure class and talent; Venus Williams for great wit and talent.<strong><br \/>\nHow would you describe your own game style?<\/strong> Impatient and aggressive<\/p>\n<p><strong>FINISH THIS SENTENCE\u2026<br \/>\nI grew up in\u2026\u00a0<\/strong>Hobart.<br \/>\n<strong>Outside of work I like to\u2026\u00a0<\/strong>take long walk, people watch at local cafes, write.<strong><br \/>\nMy favourite food is\u2026\u00a0<\/strong>seafood.<strong><br \/>\nThe person I\u2019d most like to meet is\u2026\u00a0<\/strong>Michelle Obama, Ellen De Generes and Justin Trudeau.<strong><br \/>\nMy dream holiday destination is\u2026\u00a0<\/strong>anywhere in Europe and New York.<strong><br \/>\nMy most embarrassing moment is\u2026<\/strong> too many to recall.<strong><br \/>\nIf I won a million dollars, I would\u2026<\/strong> invest, share and head to Europe.<\/p>\n<p><em>Got a question for how Simonne can help your club?
