The 2011 Moorilla Hobart International qualifying got underway yesterday in hot conditions with an epic opening match in the newly redeveloped centre court stadium.<\/p>\n

A small but enthusiastic opening crowd saw recently crowned Optus 18s Australian Championships winner Isabella Holland go down fighting to Mandy Minella from Luxembourg in a third set tie break.\u00a0 The fortunes of Australia’s rising stars improved as the day progressed with Jessica Moore and Sophie Ferguson recording wins before rain stopped play.<\/p>\n
