It was with pleasure that the Southern Ladies Midweek Pennant<\/strong> players welcomed participants from all over the state to a social tennis carnival hosted at the Domain Tennis Centre, Hobart and Kingston Tennis Club, on 5th & 6th of May 2015 (flyer below). The event began with a welcome evening get-together on 5th May with nibbles and drinks as well as lucky door prizes!\u00a0 Wednesday 6th May was tennis day with both the weather and the tennis being a challenge! \u00a072 players in 3 groups took to the courts and all enjoyed playing with and against new tennis friends!<\/p>\n

The day was highlighted by the camaraderie and good will of everyone given the unusual but trying weather conditions. Players came from many areas including Circular Head, Devonport and Launceston as well all over the south. The lucky\u00a0 winners were given a bottle of wine and one player received an encouragement award as well.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the Carnival Committee, Ailsa Richard says “thank you to everyone who made the event memorable and let’s hope we can continue with this fun carnival into the future”.<\/em><\/p>\n
