{"id":5695,"date":"2014-12-30T10:28:14","date_gmt":"2014-12-30T00:28:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/tas\/?p=5695"},"modified":"2014-12-30T10:28:14","modified_gmt":"2014-12-30T00:28:14","slug":"rogowska-receives-hobart-wildcard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/tas\/news\/2014\/12\/30\/rogowska-receives-hobart-wildcard","title":{"rendered":"Rogowska receives Hobart wildcard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Olivia Rogowska<\/strong> (Vic) is set to join a strong field at the upcoming Hobart International, having been awarded a wildcard entry into the main draw.<\/p>\n<p>Rogowska will compete at the 22nd annual Hobart International, headlined by world No.29 <strong>Casey Dellacqua<\/strong> (WA), <strong>Sloane Stephens<\/strong> (USA) and <strong>Heather Watson<\/strong> (GBR) at the Domain Tennis Centre from Sunday 11 January.<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year-old capped off her best year on the tour with two ITF $50,000 titles (Launceston and Sacramento) and reached a career high ranking of 102 in August.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m so excited and grateful for the opportunity to play at such a great event,\u201d Rogowska said today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will enjoy every minute of it and look forward to giving my absolute best.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tournament Director <strong>Mark Handley<\/strong> is delighted to welcome Rogowska back to Hobart.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s fantastic to have Olivia back playing in Hobart. She is a great supporter of the event and always competes strongly, it will be a nice launching pad for her 2015 year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOlivia won her first round match here in 2014 and it set her up for a great year, she\u2019s worked hard and continues to improve.
