After a fantastic weekend of high quality play the Grand Finals are set for play this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Play kicked off in Launceston on Saturday with top seed Team Djokovic defeating fourth seeded Team Nadal 62 games to 28. Led by doubles duo Will Bennett and Jake Elmer Team Djokovic stormed out of the blocks with doubles play. In the match of the round between George Calvert and Harry Bayles neither player was able to gain an advantage with the scores deadlocked at 8-8. Doug Matson from Team Nadal came up big with a strong 8-6 advantage over Denzel McLean. Meeting Team Djokovic in the Grand Final is Team Murray, who squeaked through a nail biting contest over Team Federer. \u00a0Trailing after the doubles Team Murray used a big push in the singles to win a tight 40-32 games advantage. Remarkably three out of the four singles matches were deadlocked at 6-6 proving the closeness of the contest. Team Murray used a big win from Thomas Haan which seemed to prove the difference. For Team Federer Angus Foster and Oscar Edwards showed their doubles prowess with a high quality 7-2 games advantage. After the stellar days play the following awards were distributed;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hewitt Award \u2013 Competitiveness, attitude and hard work &#8211;\u00a0<strong>Denzel McLean<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Ebden Award &#8211;\u00a0Sportsmanship and focused on improvement &#8211;\u00a0<strong>George Calvert<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Stosur Award \u2013 Aggression and risk taker &#8211;\u00a0<strong>Jake Elmer<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Dellacqua\u00a0Award \u2013 Technical proficiency \u2013\u00a0<strong>Doug Matson<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Dellacqua\u00a0Award \u2013 Technical proficiency \u2013\u00a0<strong>Stuart Lake<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Ebden Award &#8211;\u00a0Sportsmanship and focused on improvement &#8211;\u00a0<strong>Jack Wickham<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Barty\u00a0Award \u2013 Movement and footwork &#8211;\u00a0<strong>Alayna Mackirdy<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On Sunday Super 10s Semi-Finals hit Hobart in another week of great play and sportsmanship. Play started with top seeded Team Federer prevailing in a tight tussle with fourth seeded Team Nadal. For much of the day the highly fancied Team Federer was given all they could handle by Team Nadal until they were able to steady the ship in doubles play. For Team Nadal William Simaan and Mark Elkerton claimed big singles wins respectively while for Team Federer Elleni Kothris and Ollie Pridmore teamed up to claim a crucial doubles win stemming the tide. Meeting Team Federer in the Grand Final is Team Djokovic who stormed to a 56-16 games advantage over Team Murray. For Team Djokovic it was an outstanding team performance with all players gelling and playing some remarkable tennis. Ben Fergusson and Sebastian Giannis got things off to a hot start with an 11-3 games advantage in doubles over Victoria Fish and Hariette Browning. For Team Murray, Harry Pridmore was a standout with a 5-5 deadlock against top ranked Arthur Hayes-Newington.
