Here&#8217;s a recap of the key components of this perfect activity for Term 3 as listed on Page 52 of the Tennis for Secondary Schools Resource:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Students are in pairs playing across the net from each other, each with a hoop in front of them.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Student A commences rally by projecting the ball in an overarm throwing action to Student B, aiming for the hoop in front of their partner.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Student B tracks movement of the ball and allows it to bounce once before returning the ball with a forehand or backhand, directed back at the hoop in front of their partner.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Students are aiming to land the ball in the hoop, it must bounce at least once and if it bounces in the hoop the pair score a point.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>The teacher indicates an appropriate amount of time or a number of points the pairs are to achieve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>TIP \u2013 a regression for this activity is for students to play cooperatively with the option of trapping the ball against the strings of their racquet with their hand, before returning with a \u201cdrop &amp; hit\u201d action.
