In a thrilling day of tennis at the Domain Tennis Centre, the Tasmanian team showcased their talent and determination at the 2024 Jack Pizzey Cup and the 2024 Australia Cup.<\/p>\n

Facing off against South Australia, the Tasmanian contenders delivered an outstanding Pizzey Cup performance that captivated spectators.<\/p>\n

Led by Team Captains Alicia Dale and George Anderson, the Tasmanian squad demonstrated their mettle from the outset, with Lachlan Browne and Balin Russell setting the tone early with a commanding victory over their South Australian counterparts.<\/p>\n

Escher Case-Boag and Paige Jacobson followed suit, further solidifying Tasmania’s position on the leaderboard with another impressive victory.<\/p>\n

Tasmanian Team Captains, Alicia Dale and George Anderson defeated Gabriel Santos and Olivia Giotis (SA), followed by\u00a0Lachlan Browne and Balin Russell (TAS) who defeated Dylan Wilson and Benjamin Chisholm (SA), along with Jack Heathcote and Brooke Miller (TAS) who defeated Harry Masterman and Sky Birdseye (SA)<\/p>\n

While South Australia claimed victories in select matchups, Tasmania’s overall performance was praised by Team Manager, Simon Aufder-Heide.<\/p>\n

“To have won 9 rubbers against SA was absolutely huge. That’s our best result against SA for a long time,” Team Manager, Simon Aufder-Heide said.<\/p>\n

“The team effort was phenomenal this morning,” he said.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead to Wednesday, 8 May <\/strong>– Day 4 of the tournament<\/strong> – Team Tasmania prepares to take on New South Wales in the Pizzey Cup team matches in the morning, with top Tasmanian contenders like Alicia Dale, Escher Case-Boag and Balin Russell (Consolation round) leading the charge in the Australia Cup<\/a> individual matches to be played in the afternoon at the Domain Tennis Centre*.<\/p>\n
