What is the Super 12s Series?
Super 12s is an exciting, invitational competition for boys and girls who are born in either 2002 -2004 – provided that players do not turn 13 on or before the final round of competition (ie athletes must be 12/U for the entirety of the season).
Super 12s will:
- develop junior competitors through regular, well organised, high quality and fair competition
- promote teamwork among athletes, teams and families
- encourage an engaging environment for players and parents.
How does the Super 12s Series work?
The Super 12s Series is made up of 4 girls’ teams and 4 boys’ teams. Each team will include at least 4 players and there will be a list of reserves in case a fill-in player is required. Players will play one singles and one doubles match..
More than a trophy
Players can win more than just silverware as part of the Super 12s Series! Once-in-a-lifetime experiences are on offer, with player rewards including the chance to participate in on-court demonstrations at the Australian Open or receive an invitation to a Tennis Australia National Talent Development Camp.
Providing regular feedback and insight to parents, athletes and coaches will be our Talent Development Coach mentors including Bill Bowrey, Gary Stickler, Ian Barclay, Tennis Australia’s Coach and Talent Development Manager Bernhard Goerlitz (VIC) and Australian tennis icons including Scott Draper.
