Charity Tournament and Cent Sale 8th Feb

25 January 2012 |

Carol Morris is running her annual Charity Day Tournament on Wednesday 8th February at Kawana Tennis Club. All players are welcome – you don’t have to be a fixture player to take part. Names are to be in by 9.30am. Players get 3 sets of tennis, morning tea and lunch for $10. Non-players $5 lunch.

Money raised will go towards Dr Catherine Hamlin and her late husband Dr Reg Hamlin’s hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where Australian doctors repair fistulae in women following difficult childbirth.

Guest speaker is Joanne Miller from Brisbane, Dr Hamlin’s niece, who regularly visits Ethiopia.

Players are encouraged to come along, enjoy the tennis, test their luck with the competitions, buy a bargain at the sales, learn how fortunate we are here in Australia with our obstetric services and assist women in Ethiopia.
