2017 Strathalbyn Silver AMT Results

The 2017 Strathalbyn Silver Australian Money Tennis Tournament was played from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 January. 50 entrants played 80 matches over the three days with the last of the finals completed on Sunday.

Players and their families came from all parts of South Australia, a couple from Queensland and one from New Zealand. From feedback received, the venue and friendly atmosphere was greatly appreciated.

The standard of tennis was very high with a great display of sportsmanship from the players. There was much talent to be seen at this event.

The Strathalbyn Tennis Club would like to thank Tennis SA for giving us the opportunity to host our first Australian Money Tournament and showcase our great facilities. Without the financial support from the Alexandrina Council we would not have been able to host such a successful tournament.

The Club would also like to thank all the competitors and their families, Angus Thomson, Indi Miller, Shirley Logan, our Tournament Referee Graham Stone and his supporting officials for making the tournament a success. Special thanks to all our dedicated volunteers.

Club President Clive Rafferty congratulated the winners and presented prizemoney to all successful players.
