About Us

Stockton tennis club currently has around 110 adult members and around 100 junior members. The club is run by a small but dedicated group of individuals and we operate a Facility Licence and Management Agreement with the Newcastle City Council.

History

Stockton Tennis club was first mentioned in the Newcastle Morning Herald and Miner’s Advocate on Tuesday, February 16, 1892 and was named the “North Shore Lawn Tennis Club” with a single court created on the south-eastern corner of the cricket ground.

The club has had many changes since it was re-formed back in 1930’s but its core foundations have remained solid, which is to serve its members and to provide them with one of the best locations to play tennis in Newcastle, if not the East Coast of Australia.
