I enjoyed everything and I am sure that that has some effect on how I played and why I did well here,\u201d said Fritz about the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>This is Fritz\u2019s third ATP Challenger title having claimed the Sacramento and Fairfield Challengers in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Leading into the final, Fritz had played in multiple tough matches, including a second round three set clash against fellow American, Alexander Sarkissian 6-3 6-7(0) 7-6(5).<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the day, the doubles final was played with second seeds <strong>Denys Molchanov<\/strong> (UKR) and <strong>Aleksandr Nedovyesov<\/strong> (KAZ) taking a 6-3 5-3 lead, before <strong>Matteo Donati<\/strong> (ITA) and <strong>Andrey Golubev <\/strong>(KAZ) mounted a spirited comeback to take the title 3-6 7-6(5) 10-1.<\/p>\n<p>The finals day was a fitting finale for an event that has over the past week given local tennis fans the opportunity to attend and watch some of the world\u2019s best from across the world compete for USD$75,000 in prize money and valuable world ranking points.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Background<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The City of Onkaparinga ATP Challenger 2016 was held at Happy Valley Tennis Club, Aberfoyle Park, South Australia from 2\u201310 January 2016.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on the Australian Pro Tour or Tennis Australia visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\">tennis.com.au<\/a>.
