In an all-South Australian affair,\u00a0Happy Valley Tennis Club\u2019s very own\u00a0Sam Longhurst<\/strong>\u00a0opened the proceedings on Centre Court with a 6-1 6-0 win over Stefan Norodom. Daniel Hobart<\/strong>\u00a0then continued the South Australian success on Centre Court with a win over\u00a0Patrick Fitzgerald<\/strong>\u00a06-4 6-1.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, the South Australian luck then changed with Aleksandar Vukic<\/strong> (AUS) defeating Lawrence Bataljin<\/strong> 6-1 6-1 and Steven De Waard<\/strong> defeating Mislav Bosnjak<\/strong> in a long three setter, 6-7(3) 6-4 6-2.<\/p>\n In other matches,\u00a0Blake Mott<\/strong>\u00a0(AUS) defeated\u00a0Brian Tran<\/strong>\u00a0(AUS) 6-2 6-1, Xin Gao<\/strong> (CHN) defeated Jake Delaney<\/strong> (AUS) 6-2 7-6(5), whilst\u00a0Peter Polansky<\/strong> (CAN) defeated Gian Marco Moroni <\/strong>(ITA) 6-3 6-1.<\/p>\n All seeded players moved directly through to the second round, with these matches to be played tomorrow starting at 10:00am, headlined by former world No.39, Australia\u2019s Marinko Matosevic<\/strong> playing in the second match on Centre Court, not before 11:00am.<\/p>\n
