{"id":8950,"date":"2015-11-18T09:41:03","date_gmt":"2015-11-17T23:11:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/?p=8950"},"modified":"2015-11-18T10:04:23","modified_gmt":"2015-11-17T23:34:23","slug":"junior-atl-wrap-rounds-4-5-november-15th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/news\/2015\/11\/18\/junior-atl-wrap-rounds-4-5-november-15th","title":{"rendered":"Junior ATL Wrap \u2013 Rounds 4 &amp; 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rounds four and five of the 2015 Junior ATL were held at the Millswood Tennis Complex on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>In the Boys draw, Hills and Glenelg Districts played in a very tight match, with Hills prevailing 4-2.<\/p>\n<p>5 of the 6 rubbers played went to three sets, which took the duration of the match over 3 hours. <strong>Kristo Daminato<\/strong> from GDTA fought from a set down to defeat <strong>Matt Casey<\/strong> from HTA 2-4 4-3 4-3 to get his team on the board, but <strong>Brandon Wall<\/strong> and <strong>James May<\/strong> were too strong in the end claiming their doubles 4-1 4-2 against <strong>Pierce Hynes<\/strong> and <strong>Kristo Daminato<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>SDTA had a 4-2 win against EDTA. <strong>Stan Karahalios<\/strong> and <strong>Stefan Bianchet<\/strong> had 4-0 4-1 wins over <strong>Callum Gale <\/strong>and <strong>Jack Wu<\/strong> to set-up the victory. <strong>David Jung<\/strong> fought hard for EDTA, claiming his singles 4-3 4-1 against <strong>Alex Bruschi<\/strong>, then combining with <strong>Jack Wu<\/strong> to defeat <strong>Stefan Bianchet<\/strong> and <strong>Alex Bruschi<\/strong> 4-1 4-0.<\/p>\n<p>NETA had a 4-2 win against WDTA. <strong>Chris Hoang<\/strong> and <strong>Blake Lowen<\/strong> won their singles 4-2 4-2 and 4-1 4-1 against <strong>Nicholas Brown<\/strong> and <strong>Caleb Hansen<\/strong> respectively. <strong>Harrison Paton<\/strong> gave WDTA some hope heading into the doubles with a 4-1 4-0 win over <strong>Matt Hoang<\/strong>, but NETA were too strong in the end.<\/p>\n<p>SDTA and EDTA enjoyed a hard-fought battle in the Girls draw. <strong>Jacqui Scott<\/strong> put SDTA ahead early with a 4-2 4-3 win against <strong>Alana Repanich<\/strong>. <strong>Meeka Marshall<\/strong> of EDTA had a 4-3 3-4 4-0 win against <strong>Ebony Harper<\/strong>. SDTA secured a 4 rubbers to 2 victory after <strong>Lucy Eaton<\/strong> and <strong>Ebony Harper<\/strong> defeated <strong>Rita Zhitsova<\/strong> and <strong>Angela Galentomas<\/strong> 4-2 3-4 4-3 in a very tight match.<\/p>\n<p>HTA defeated GDTA 6-0. <strong>Olivia Hughes<\/strong> defeated <strong>Olivia Manzie<\/strong> 4-2 4-1, whilst <strong>Emily Nairn<\/strong> defeated <strong>Caitlyn Hedger<\/strong> 4-2 4-1 to set-up the win.<br \/>\nWDTA had a 6-0 win against NETA in the final match. <strong>Maggie Pearce<\/strong> had a 4-0 4-1 over <strong>Michiko Trebilco<\/strong>, whilst <strong>Millie Pearce<\/strong> and <strong>Caitlyn Wyatt<\/strong> had a 4-1 4-2 win against <strong>Taylor Hoffman<\/strong> and <strong>Maddison Wilson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the final round action, SDTA boys had a 6-0 victory against GDTA. <strong>Josh Laka<\/strong> enjoyed a 4-0 4-1 victory over <strong>Pierce Hynes<\/strong>. <strong>Jock Piper<\/strong> also had a victory for SDTA, defeating <strong>Seth Henderson<\/strong> 4-2 4-0 to lead SDTA to a win.<\/p>\n<p>HTA defeated WDTA 4-2. <strong>Brandon Wall<\/strong> started brightly for HTA, with a 3-4 4-2 4-2 win against <strong>Nikolai Dobrovolski<\/strong>. <strong>Nicholas Brown<\/strong> and <strong>Harrison Paton<\/strong> fought gallantly for WDTA in the doubles, claiming a 2-4 4-2 4-3 win over <strong>Matt Casey<\/strong> and <strong>Cameron Hutchesson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the closest contest of the 2015 Junior ATL so far, NETA claimed a win against EDTA on games after both teams won 3 rubbers. <strong>Dale Nixon<\/strong> put NETA in a commanding position early with a 4-0 4-0 win against <strong>David Wang<\/strong>, but EDTA fought all the way. <strong>David Jung<\/strong> defeated <strong>Chris Hoang<\/strong> 4-2 4-1.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bradley Smith<\/strong> of NETA won a very long singles match against <strong>Callum Gale<\/strong> 3-4 4-3 4-3. After being 2-2 going into the doubles matches, NETA prevailed by 5 games overall after <strong>Bradley Smith<\/strong> and <strong>Chris Hoang<\/strong> defeated <strong>Jack Wu<\/strong> and <strong>David Jung<\/strong> 4-0 4-2.<\/p>\n<p>EDTA defeated NETA 6-0 in the Girls final round draw. <strong>Angela Galentomas<\/strong> defeated <strong>Taylor Hoffman<\/strong> 1-4 4-2 4-1, before joining <strong>Meeka Marshall<\/strong> to defeat <strong>Taylor Hoffman<\/strong> and <strong>Audrey Christiansen<\/strong> 4-0 4-0.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michiko Trebilco<\/strong> and<strong> Natalie Quast<\/strong> were gallant in defeat for NETA, eventually going down 4-2 4-2 to <strong>Alana Repanich<\/strong> and <strong>Hayley Waterman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>WDTA had a 6-0 win against HTA. <strong>Maggie Pearce<\/strong> defeated <strong>Olivia Hughes<\/strong> 4-0 4-0 to set the scene for WDTA. <strong>Jacquie Smith<\/strong> and <strong>Maddie Hughes<\/strong> of HTA pushed <strong>Millie Pearce<\/strong> and <strong>Caitlyn Wyatt<\/strong> all the way in their doubles encounter, with <strong>Millie<\/strong> and <strong>Caitlyn<\/strong> winning 4-3 4-3.<\/p>\n<p>SDTA defeated GDTA 6-0. <strong>Lauren Ward<\/strong> of SDTA defeated <strong>Jayne Hedger<\/strong> 4-3 4-2 in a close encounter. <strong>Olivia Manzie<\/strong> also fought hard for GDTA, eventually going down 4-2 4-3 to <strong>Jacqui Scott<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ebony Harper<\/strong> and <strong>Lauren Ward<\/strong> defeated <strong>Charlotte Thomas<\/strong> and <strong>Jayne Hedger<\/strong> 4-0 4-3 in the doubles to confirm the 6-0 win for SDTA.<\/p>\n<p>That concludes the group stage of the Junior ATL. The finals will take place this coming Sunday, November 22<sup>nd<\/sup> at 9am at Next Generation.
