{"id":8615,"date":"2015-09-15T10:08:40","date_gmt":"2015-09-15T00:38:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/?p=8615"},"modified":"2015-09-15T15:03:45","modified_gmt":"2015-09-15T05:33:45","slug":"world-tennis-challenge-wtc-corporate-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/news\/2015\/09\/15\/world-tennis-challenge-wtc-corporate-challenge","title":{"rendered":"World Tennis Challenge (WTC) Corporate Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Business, media and sporting personalities assemble to launch the 2015 World Tennis Challenge Corporate Challenge.<\/p>\n<p>In its eighth year, Australia\u2019s largest corporate tennis event, the <strong>World Tennis Challenge (WTC) Corporate Challenge<\/strong> is being revitalised with a new timeslot and will now become a part of the newly formed <strong>Festival of Tennis<\/strong> set to take place at South Australia\u2019s Home of Tennis, Memorial Drive from 20-22 November.<\/p>\n<p>Featuring Tennis Australia\u2019s innovative new FAST4 scoring format along with premier and social divisions, teams will be vying for the chance to play finals on the Memorial Drive Centre Courts, complete with Chair Umpire and Ballkids and the opportunity to win the ultimate money can\u2019t buy experience at the 2016 World Tennis Challenge.<\/p>\n<p>The one day event is part of the lead in to the World Tennis Challenge for event sponsors, corporate suite holders and external corporate businesses, with approximately 200 participants expected to play in a variety of tennis matches against each other throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Executive Officer Tennis SA, <strong>Steven Baldas<\/strong> is set to be joined by The Lord Mayor of Adelaide<strong> Martin Haese<\/strong>, along with local business, media and sporting personalities <strong>Karen Raffen,<\/strong> <strong>Mark Soderstrom<\/strong> and <strong>Jodie Oddy<\/strong> for an official media opportunity on the Riverbank Bridge on Tuesday 15 September.<\/p>\n<p>Tennis SA, in conjunction with Tennis Australia and Next Generation Memorial Drive, will host the Festival of Tennis from Friday 20 November to Sunday 22 November.<\/p>\n<p>Along with the 2015 WTC Corporate Challenge, the Festival of Tennis will celebrate the Asia-Pacific Tennis League, Junior Asia-Pacific Tennis League, Super 10s, 2015 South Australian Tennis Championships for People with a Disability and Win a Wildcard events, along with an ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Leagues Carnival.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to announce that the WTC Corporate Challenge is now part of the newly formed Festival of Tennis,\u201d said Steven Baldas, Chief Executive Officer Tennis SA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Festival of Tennis is set to include seven participation events and will showcase all levels of tennis in Adelaide over the one fantastic weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Entries for the 2015 WTC Corporate Challenge are now open and will close on Friday 6 November 2015.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on the WTC Corporate Challenge visit <a href=\"http:\/\/worldtennischallenge.com\/play-tennis\/corporates\" target=\"_blank\">worldtennischallenge.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For further media information please contact:<br \/>\nBreanna Hassam, Tennis SA, 0401 265 882 \/ <a href=\"mailto:bhassam@tennis.com.au\" target=\"_blank\">bhassam@tennis.com.au <\/a><br \/>\nKirsty Mosley, Tennis SA, 0466 562 249 \/ <a href=\"mailto:kmosley@tennis.com.au\" target=\"_blank\">kmosley@tennis.com.au<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Business, media and sporting personalities assemble to launch the 2015 World Tennis Challenge Corporate Challenge.
