Queensland second seed Maverick Banes put on a dominant display when he convincingly defeated Victorian youngster Marc Polmans 6-1 6-1 while fourth seed Gavin Van Peperzeel was too good for Queenslander Blake Ellis, Ellis will still take something away from the week having broken through for his first ATP point. British number one seed Brydan Klein is working his way through the draw nicely after registering another straight sets win over Victorian Aaron Addison who also won his first ATP point this week. In the match of the day Victorian Jacob Grills worked his way past New South Welshman Chris O\u2019Connell in three tight sets. Grills and O\u2019Connell played some quality tennis however Grills was more aggressive on the big points and it was the difference in the end.<\/p>\n
Today\u00a0will see the singles quarter finals with Brydan Klein and Matthew Barton set to be an exciting match up with both players looking in fine form. Number three seed Matt Reid will take on Jacob Grills, American Alexander Sarkissian will play Gavin Van Peperzeel and in another enticing match up Victorian Omar Jasika will battle it out with Maverick Banes.<\/p>\n
The doubles finals will be played from 3:30pm with former top 100 player Carsten Ball teaming with Matt Reid to take on Steven De Waard and Chris O\u2019Connell.<\/p>\n
