Fourth seed Noppawan Lertcheewakarn (THA)<\/strong> was defeated by qualifier Jennifer Elie (USA)<\/strong> 6-2 4-6 6-1, sixth seed Sandra Zaniewska (POL)<\/strong> was overcome by Mai Minokoshi (JPN) <\/strong>3-6 6-0 6-4 and third seed Zuzana Zlochova (SVK)<\/strong> was unfortunately forced to retire at 2-6 6-4 against Australia\u2019s Karis Ryan<\/strong> due to illness.<\/p>\n Day 6 action will be headlined by six Aussies, including fifth seed Jessica Moore,<\/strong> wildcards Sally Peers<\/strong> and Jelena Stojanovic,<\/strong> and qualifiers Priscilla Hon, Zoe Hives<\/strong> and Karis Ryan.\u00a0<\/strong>The doubles semi-finals will also be played tomorrow, following the singles, later in the afternoon.<\/p>\n Day 6 will also see the introduction of the Pro Tour Schools Experience, featuring a behind the scenes tour of the tournament and ANZ Tennis Hot Shots, with a total of around 350-400 school children expected to visit the event over the next two days.<\/p>\n
