Tennis SA is excited to announce 15\/U and 10\/U age groups will be incorporated into the 2014 State Foundation Cup. The 2014 State event will be played at the Berri Tennis Club from the 7th<\/sup> \u2013 11th<\/sup> of October 2014.<\/p>\n

\u201cBerri has 26 courts in total made up of grass, synthetic and hard courts and provides us with a great venue to hold an event of this size. The tennis courts are also close to local accommodation which is a real bonus for this type of event.\u201d said Ty Allen Tournament and Competitions Manager at Tennis SA.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy adding these age groups to the Foundation Cup State event it means regional tennis players have a longer pathway to higher level of representative tennis. From the early ages of competitive tennis through to their teenage years, children can aspire to compete against the best players from the rest of regional SA, which is important to keep them involved in the sport and to maximise their tennis ability\u201d, said Brett McLennan, Coach and Talent Development Manger-SA.<\/p>\n

The event was made possible through Tennis SA partnering with the Berri Barmera Council, The Berri Hotel, Berri Caravan Park and of course the Berri View Lawn Tennis Club.<\/p>\n
