2011 World Tennis Challenge has secured a deal with Fox Sports to deliver the three night international teams\u2019 event.<\/p>\n
The event which is held at the iconicMemorial Drive, South Australia from the 11-13 January has featured the likes of John McEnroe, Jim Courier, Pat Rafter, Pat Cash, Bernard Tomic and Gael Monfils and has been a huge hit with sell out sessions and international coverage.<\/p>\n
Tennis SA CEO, Alistair MacDonald said \u201cwith 2011 players to be announced in the coming weeks it\u2019s an exciting time for the event.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cNow entering the tournaments third year and with the announcement of FoxSports partnership theWorld Tennis Challenge is growing stronger every year\u201d.<\/p>\n
Co-Tournament Director Mark Woodforde was also thrilled that the event would again be showcased around Australia<\/p>\n
\u201cWe continue to develop our broadcast arm and have a fantastic live entertainment product showcasing the biggest personalities in tennis,\u201d Woodforde said.<\/p>\n
\u201cFox Sport have really embraced the event and we are now working collaboratively to up the insight that viewers can get into our unique and innovative concept.\u201d<\/p>\n
In 2010 Fox Sports were the Australian broadcaster of World Tennis Challenge provided a total of 7 hours and 50minutes of live coverage, 3 hours and 59 minutes of live delayed coverage and 15 hours of replays over 4 days.<\/p>\n
Fox Sports statistics found 469,854, seven percent of FOX Sports viewers, watched the LIVE coverage with an average total of 204,202 tuned in to each LIVE session.<\/p>\n
From a global perspective, the coverage of the 2010 World Tennis Challenge was broadcasted via Tennis Channel into Finland, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Sweden\/Denmark, North America, South America, South Africa, theMiddle East (including Israel, Turkey and Cyprus) and Pan Asia reaching 30,810,000 subscribers through a live broadcast, replays or highlight packages.<\/p>\n
