{"id":5516,"date":"2013-03-12T11:29:36","date_gmt":"2013-03-12T01:59:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/?p=5516"},"modified":"2013-03-12T11:29:36","modified_gmt":"2013-03-12T01:59:36","slug":"sa-athletes-make-the-most-of-the-march-long-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/news\/2013\/03\/12\/sa-athletes-make-the-most-of-the-march-long-weekend","title":{"rendered":"SA athletes make the most of the March long weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>National Academy Athlete Brad Mousley has continued his amazing run in Doubles since August last year winning his 4<sup>th<\/sup> International Junior Doubles Title.<\/p>\n<p>Since August Brad has won 26 out 29 matches that include the Oceania Closed B2 ITF in <strong>Fiji<\/strong>, the Oceania Closed B1 Closed in <strong>Korea, <\/strong>the Australian Open Juniors in <strong>Melbourne <\/strong>and just this week the Chang LTAT ITF Junior Grade 1 in <strong>Thailand.\u00a0 <\/strong>Brad also progressed to the Round of 16 in the singles<strong>. <\/strong>After this week in Thailand Brad is now ranked 44 in the World for juniors.<\/p>\n<p>Brad\u2019s Coach <strong>National Head Coach &#8211; SA \u2013 Milo Bradley<\/strong> who is with Brad in Asia said \u201cthese are invaluable matches for Brad as we prepare ourselves for the upcoming European swing which includes the Junior French Open and Junior Wimbledon\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Over the Labour Day Long weekend Tennis SA conducted a tour to the 2013 Victorian Junior Claycourt Championships held in Dingley, Melbourn.\u00a0 Seven female athletes from SA travelled with <strong>Talent Development Coach Sharon Hambly<\/strong> and <strong>National Academy Manager Rohan Fisher.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Amber Marshall<\/strong> won five matches to take the 12\/U Singles title. Amber then combined with fellow South Australian <strong>Isabella Ryles<\/strong> to take out the Doubles against <strong>Madison Bishop<\/strong> (SA) and her partner Celine Southern. Isabella Ryles finished 3<sup>rd <\/sup>in the singles, Madison Bishop finished 5<sup>th <\/sup>in the singles and <strong>Tayla Whitehouse<\/strong> won 4 matches in the Consolation singles to take this out in the 12\/U\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jeanette Lin<\/strong> progressed to the 14\/U Final. <strong>Petra Hule<\/strong> came 3<sup>rd<\/sup> in the 14s, <strong>Selina Turulja <\/strong>finished 6<sup>th<\/sup>. Selina combined with <strong>Tahlia Van Der Eerden <\/strong>to progress to the 14s Doubles Final.
