{"id":5393,"date":"2013-02-07T08:03:48","date_gmt":"2013-02-06T22:33:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/?p=5393"},"modified":"2013-02-07T08:03:48","modified_gmt":"2013-02-06T22:33:48","slug":"second-round-charles-sturt-adelaide-international","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/news\/2013\/02\/07\/second-round-charles-sturt-adelaide-international","title":{"rendered":"Second Round: Charles Sturt Adelaide International"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today saw the completion of the second round at the <strong>Charles Sturt Adelaide International<\/strong> with world number one junior <strong>Nick Kyrgios<\/strong> providing the highlight of the day progressing to his first ever ATP Challenger quarter final.<\/p>\n<p>Kyrgios, the winner of the 2013 Australian Open Junior Boys title defeated<strong> Suk-Young Jeong<\/strong> in straight sets. Kyrgios will play fellow Australian <strong>Greg Jones<\/strong> in the quarter finals after he upset third seed <strong>Peter Polansky<\/strong> in three tough sets.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On the local front, South Australian <strong>Colin Ebelthite<\/strong> was downed by Russian <strong>Alexander Lobkov<\/strong> in three sets, after winning the first set in a tiebreak Ebelthite looked likely to move through to the quarters however Lobkov rallied and finished strongly winning the decider 6-2. In other results, number Japanese first seed <strong>Yuichi Sugita<\/strong> defeated Australian <strong>Matt Reid<\/strong> in straight sets while British player James Ward ended the run of qualifier Sean Berman in straight sets.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the doubles, the final two quarter finals took place with Australian&#8217;s <strong>James Duckworth<\/strong> and Greg Jones defeating the Japanese duo of <strong>Hiroki Moriya<\/strong> and <strong>Yuichi Sugita<\/strong>.
