39 of South Australia\u2019s best tennis players will arrive at Melbourne Park from today, Wednesday 28 November 2012, for the fifth annual December Showdown<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The three-week December Showdown carnival marks the start of Australia\u2019s summer of tennis with the nation\u2019s best juniors in the 12s, 14s, 16s and 18s age-groups competing in more than 2000 matches at Melbourne Park.<\/p>\n

Three of South Australia’s players will enter their respective age Championship as the number 1 seed Thanasi Kokkinakis<\/strong> (Boys 18\/u ),\u00a0 Bradley Mousley<\/strong> (Boys 16\/u) and\u00a0 Jeanette Lin<\/strong> (Girls 12\/u). Whilst, Stefan Norodom<\/strong> will enter the 12\/u Boys Nationals as the 2nd seed.<\/p>\n

Nine South Australian coaches listed below will also be travelling in an official capacity to the December Showdown including, Milo Bradley, Daniel Buberis, Jim Chaousis, Lachlan Ferguson, Rohan Fisher, Sharon Hambly, Joel Kerley, Brett McLennan <\/strong>and Craig Mousley.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Day 1 of the December Showdown begins tomorrow with the 14\/u Teams Championship. The SA girls team (Nicole Kraemer, Brooke Milner, Petra Hule – Coach Rohan Fisher) begin tomorrow’s Round Robin format against Tasmania in the morning. The SA boys team (Mislav Bosnjak, Jean-Paul DeCorso, Lliam Bishop – Coach\u00a0 Lachlan Ferguson) begin with a double header.
