The league will provide players with the opportunity to play regular paid high-level matches.<\/p>\n<h3>How will the ATL work?<\/h3>\n<p><strong><\/strong>Domestically, the ATL will consist of five conferences (SA, WA Vic, NSW\/ACT and Qld) made up of 28 men\u2019s and 28 women\u2019s teams competing for their conference championship during November 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Conference champions progress to the ATL Play-offs, which will be hosted at Melbourne Park during the second week of the Australian Open.<\/p>\n<p>In its inaugural season, the ATL is working with the Asia-Pacific region to host three teams from outside Australia at the ATL Play-offs.\u00a0 Thus, the eight-team play-offs for both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s competitions will feature players from around the Asia-Pacific region.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Frequently Asked Questions\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/competitions\/asia-pacific-tennis-league\/frequently-asked-questions\" target=\"_blank\">&gt; Take a look at the FAQs to learn more about the ATL<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>How do I join a team?<\/h3>\n<p>All players have the opportunity to nominate themselves for the league.
