Over 300 players converged on the courts of Memorial Drive and the Millswood Tennis Centre for the 2012 Tennis SA Queen\u2019s Birthday Championships over the long weekend.<\/p>\n

Comprising of a combination of a gold level Australian Money Tournament and white level Optus Junior Tour, the juniors had the opportunity to participate amongst some of the state\u2019s best players.<\/p>\n

Despite frosty starts in the mornings, fine weather all weekend meant that over 30 draws (main, qualifying and consolation) totalling nearly 600 matches were fully completed.<\/p>\n

In the AMT Men\u2019s event, Todd Ley continued his superb form in Tennis SA tournaments with his win over Li Tu in the final (6-2 6-4).\u00a0 This win was a hat trick of Tennis SA hosted AMT events for Todd after winning the October Gold and November Silver tournaments at the end of last year.<\/p>\n

Australian number 11, Bojana Bobusic, was red hot favourite going into the AMT Women\u2019s singles, but Amy Sneath pulled off a 3 set win in the semis and carried this form into the final taking it out 6-2 6-2 over Chloe Hule.<\/p>\n
