{"id":377,"date":"2010-10-27T10:00:47","date_gmt":"2010-10-27T00:30:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/?p=377"},"modified":"2010-10-27T10:00:47","modified_gmt":"2010-10-27T00:30:47","slug":"james-blake-heading-to-adelaide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/news\/2010\/10\/27\/james-blake-heading-to-adelaide","title":{"rendered":"Former No. 4 James Blake to visit Adelaide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two of the game\u2019s longest serving top ATP players are coming to Adelaide to feature in World Tennis Challenge 2011.\u00a0 The Europeans\u2019 and Americans full line-up was announced, which includes <strong>Michael Llodra<\/strong> and <strong>Henri Leconte<\/strong> for the Europeans and <strong>James Blake<\/strong> and <strong>John McEnroe<\/strong> for the Americans.<\/p>\n<p><strong>World Tennis Challenge Co-director Mark Woodforde<\/strong> is thrilled Blake and Llodra are returning to Adelaide to participate in World Tennis Challenge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth James [Blake] and Michael [Llodra] are thrilled to be coming back to Adelaide after previously playing in the Australian Men&#8217;s Hardcourt Championships.\u00a0 The relaxed atmosphere, three solid matches before the Australian Open and the opportunity to play with some of their heroes were the major reasons these players have chosen Adelaide over some of the other options on the table,\u201d Woodforde said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is great to have Michael Llodra coming back to play in Adelaide as he is still technically the defending champion of our ATP event.\u00a0 Michael was the last person to win the ATP event in Adelaide so he is an absolute quality player.\u00a0 Furthermore, he has led France to the Davis Cup final this year so we are thrilled to have him play for the European team.<\/p>\n<p>Llodra, ranked world No.32, will pair with Henri Leconte for the European Team in WTC 2011 and Woodforde believes they could take out the title.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Europeans are a quality team and I know these guys are looking forward to playing with each other.\u00a0 I think they are a real chance for this year\u2019s title.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Llodra has led his France to the Davis Cup final later this year and has been one of the most consistent ATP performers over many years.<\/p>\n<p>James Blake is a former World number 4 who has been hampered by injury this year.
