The 20-year-old defeated Western Australian, <strong>Bojana Bobusic <\/strong>in tough conditions to claim the Championship in straight sets 6-3 6-2.<\/p>\n<p>Rogowska, the No.3 seed performed strongly all week taking out New Zealand\u2019s <strong>Katherine Westbury<\/strong> 6-0 7-6(1) in the first round, before beating American <strong>Lena Litvak<\/strong> 6-0 3-6 6-1. Rogowska then knocked out No. 6 seed <strong>Emily Webley-Smith<\/strong> from Great Britain 6-1 4-6 6-2 before defeating defending champion and No.1 seed from Japan, <strong>Erika Sema<\/strong> 6-3 6-0.<\/p>\n<p>Bobusic also had a great start to the tournament winning her first three matches in straight sets.\u00a0 In the first round, she defeated No. 4 seed <strong>Sacha Jones<\/strong> from New Zealand 6-4 7-6(4), before ousting Victorian <strong>Tammi Patterson<\/strong> 6-4 6-0. In the third round, Bobusic came back from a set down to beat <strong>Daniella Dominikovic<\/strong> from NSW 3-6 6-2 6-3 and claimed victory against No. 2 seed and Queenslander <strong>Isabella Holland<\/strong> 6-3 6-3 in the semis.<\/p>\n<p>Completing a week of impressive tennis, Rogowska was too strong for Bobusic in the final. Rogowska was very happy with the win, especially considering the weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was really tough conditions out there. It was really windy. I played well considering. It was a good quality match against Bojana.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cI had a good solid week and stayed mentally tough. I\u2019m really happy where my tennis is at the moment. I\u2019m working on a list of things and they\u2019ve been coming together on the court\u201d said Rogowska.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s singles, it was an all Japanese affair with No. 9 seed <strong>Yasutaka Uchiyama<\/strong> coming back from a 0-5 first set deficit to win the Championship against No. 2 seed <strong>Hiroki Moriya<\/strong> 7-6(6) 6-4.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the doubles, No. 4 seeds <strong>John Peers<\/strong> and <strong>Robert McKenzie<\/strong> took out the men\u2019s doubles title, and No. 3 seeds <strong>Isabella Holland<\/strong> and <strong>Sally Peers<\/strong> won the women\u2019s doubles title.<\/p>\n<p>The Pro Tour continues in South Australia this week with the men in action at the <strong>City of Onkaparinga International<\/strong> taking place at Happy Valley whilst the women compete in the <strong>City of Mount Gambier Blue Lake International<\/strong>.<strong> <\/strong>Qualifying will conclude today with the main draw starting on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Nyrstar Port Pirie Tennis International<\/strong> is part of the 2011 \u2013 2012 Australian Pro Tour, a series of professional tennis events that bridge junior events and the ATP\/WTA Tour, providing an opportunity for players to earn their first world ranking points.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For more information on the tournament itself, the 2011 \u2013 2012 Australian Pro Tour, Tennis Australia or the players, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/\">www.tennis.com.au<\/a>.
