Qualifier Carl Emil Overbeck<\/strong> (DEN) caused an upset following his victory over No.5 seed Jason Kubler (AUS).<\/p>\n The first men\u2019s doubles match of the day saw Aussie duo Calum Puttergill<\/strong> and Dane Sweeny<\/strong> get it done in three sets. Japanese pairing Taisei Ichikawa<\/strong> \/ Shinji Hazawa <\/strong>have also advanced to the next round, accompanied by Aussie duo Jake Delaney<\/strong> and Adelaide\u2019s own Li Tu<\/strong>. The final doubles match-up of the day saw Anirudh Chandrasekar \/ Reese Stalder <\/strong>take the win in less than an hour.<\/p>\n Talia Gibson<\/strong> (AUS) progressed through to the quarterfinals following her 6-1 6-2 victory in just over an hour. Joining her are fellow Australians Taylah Preston<\/strong>, Elena Micic <\/strong>and Emerson Jones <\/strong>who also came out on top today.<\/p>\n China\u2019s Sijia Wei <\/strong>and Fangran Tian<\/strong> both moved through to the next round, alongside Ukraine\u2019s Yuliia Starodubtseva<\/strong> following her 6-1 6-3 win.<\/p>\n In the women\u2019s doubles, Aussie duo Maddison Inglis<\/strong> and Talia Gibson<\/strong> advanced through following a 6-4 6-2 win, alongside another Australian pairing consisting of Elena Micic<\/strong> and Adelaide\u2019s own Petra Hule<\/strong>. Korean pair Eunhye Lee<\/strong> \/ Dayeon Back <\/strong>surpassed the Aussies in 43 minutes winning 6-0 6-1.
