Fellow Australians <strong>Priscilla Hon<\/strong> (Qld), <strong>Jaimee Fourlis <\/strong>(Vic), <strong>Maddison Inglis<\/strong> (WA) and <strong>Alana Parnaby <\/strong>(Vic) have joined them in the second round.<\/p>\n<p>2020 champion <strong>James Duckworth<\/strong> (NSW) progressed with a 6-4 7-6(2) victory over <strong>Kaichi Uchida<\/strong> (JPN), whilst defending champion and second seed <strong>Rinky Hijikata <\/strong>(NSW) defeated qualifier <strong>JiSung Nam<\/strong> (KOR) 6-4 7-6(4).<\/p>\n<p>Day 5 will see Hijikata open Centre Court, with Duckworth and <strong>Thanasi Kokkinakis<\/strong> (SA) to follow for their second round matches. On the women\u2019s side, \u00a0Birrell will kick off proceedings on Court 8 against <strong>Talia Gibson<\/strong> (WA).
