Unfortunately Day 3 has started and ended with rain at the City of Playford Tennis International.<\/p>\n
Main draw matches did, however, get underway in the afternoon with City of Playford Tennis International 2019 champion James Duckworth<\/strong> (NSW) moving through to the second round with a 7-5 6-1 victory over Prajnesh Gunneswaran<\/strong> (IND).<\/p>\n South Australian wildcards Alex Bolt<\/strong> and Edward Winter<\/strong>\u00a0fought hard, but unfortunately lost their respective first round matches in three sets.<\/p>\n The match between top seed Jordan Thompson <\/strong>(NSW) and James McCabe<\/strong> (NSW) has been suspended at one set a piece, with Thompson ahead 4-2 in the third set.<\/p>\n In the women\u2019s, top seed Priscilla Hon<\/strong> (Qld) defeated Junri Namigata<\/strong> (JPN) 6-1 7-6(2) and second seed Jaimee Fourlis<\/strong> (Vic) overcame Alana Parnaby<\/strong> (Vic) 6-2 6-3.<\/p>\n Matches will commence at 10:00 am on Wednesday.<\/p>\n Three South Australians will be in action on Day 4, with qualifier Petra Hule<\/strong> (SA) to take on Jasmin Jebawy <\/strong>(GER) in the second match on Court 7. Li Tu<\/strong> (SA) will take on Rubin Statham<\/strong> (NZL) in the second match on Centre Court and Luke Saville<\/strong> (SA) will play Kyle Seelig<\/strong> (USA) in the second match on Court 3.<\/p>\n
