{"id":24964,"date":"2022-03-28T10:36:53","date_gmt":"2022-03-28T00:06:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/?p=24964"},"modified":"2022-03-28T11:41:05","modified_gmt":"2022-03-28T01:11:05","slug":"glenlea-and-east-adelaide-payneham-claim-their-first-tennis-sa-junior-state-league-premierships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/news\/2022\/03\/28\/glenlea-and-east-adelaide-payneham-claim-their-first-tennis-sa-junior-state-league-premierships","title":{"rendered":"Glenlea and East Adelaide Payneham claim their first Tennis SA Junior State League premierships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Glenlea Tennis Club<\/strong> and <strong>East Adelaide Payneham Tennis Club<\/strong> have claimed their first <strong>Tennis SA Junior State League\u00a0<\/strong>premierships following an action packed Friday evening at Next Generation Memorial Drive.<\/p>\n<p>In the girls\u2019 competition, Glenlea defeated Athelstone Tennis Club five rubbers to one.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe came in with a few nerves, but we were able to really push through that and support each other,\u201d Glenlea girls\u2019 team captain,\u00a0<strong>Mia Tsoukalas\u00a0<\/strong>said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAthelstone played really well, it could have gone either way. They are young guns and I think they are going to do really well in the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve had some great team spirit at the club this year. Being able to get the win was really good for us and I think will help the club in the years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile in the boys\u2019 competition, East Adelaide Payneham took a four rubbers to two win over Seaside Tennis Club to claim the premiership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe atmosphere was crazy, as soon as I stepped on court I was a bit nervous because there were so many people watching,\u201d East Adelaide Payneham boys\u2019 team captain,\u00a0<strong>Hemang Gaur<\/strong>\u00a0said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe team did really well, we\u2019ve had chemistry the whole season.
