Six South Australian finalists will lead the charge for the state next week, when winners of the 2021 Newcombe Medal, Australian Tennis Awards<\/strong> are announced during a gala virtual ceremony on Friday 17 December.<\/p>\n

The Australian Tennis Awards will celebrate the achievements of Australia\u2019s tennis community across 13 award categories with tennis clubs, volunteers, officials, coaches, schools and talented junior players all recognised for their outstanding achievements and contributions to tennis throughout 2021.<\/p>\n

Domenic Marafiote<\/strong> from East Torrens Kensington Gardens Tennis Club is now a two-time finalist for the Coaching Excellence Club award, while Sam Wall<\/strong>\u00a0from Coromandel Valley Tennis Club has been announced as a finalist for the Coaching Excellence Development award for the fourth time.<\/p>\n

Following an outstanding 12 months,\u00a0Edward Winter<\/strong>\u00a0is a finalist for the Junior Athlete of the Year \u2013 Male, while\u00a0Andriana Petrakis<\/strong>\u00a0has been announced as a finalist for the Most Outstanding Athlete with a Disability.<\/p>\n

Cobdogla Primary School<\/strong>\u00a0will be vying for the Most Outstanding School award and Broadview Tennis Club<\/strong> will look to claim the title of Most Outstanding Club.<\/p>\n

Tennis SA CEO\u00a0Debbie Sterrey<\/strong>\u00a0is thrilled to announce an outstanding list of South Australian finalists.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so proud of our six South Australian finalists,\u201d Sterrey said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese finalists contribute to the sport of tennis in South Australia in a variety of different ways. Their passion, determination and enthusiasm is to be commended and this announcement is thoroughly well deserved.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wish our finalists the best of luck and we cannot wait to proudly cheer them on next Friday.\u201d<\/p>\n
