Tennis SA is thrilled to announce the 11\/u, 13\/u and 15\/u teams set to compete in the\u00a02021<\/strong> Australian Teams Championships<\/strong>\u00a0presented by Kia<\/strong> being held at KDV Sport in Carrara, Queensland starting tomorrow.<\/p>\n

From 25-29 June, the tournament will see teams competing in the 11\/u and 13\/u championships, with 15\/u teams set to compete from 1-4 July.<\/p>\n

Fifty-one elite girls\u2019 and boys\u2019 teams will compete, representing each Australian state and territory, with players also travelling from New Zealand for the tournament.<\/p>\n

South Australia has an impressive history in the event, with the likes of\u00a0Alicia Molik, Thanasi Kokkinakis\u00a0and\u00a0Luke Saville\u00a0having represented the state.<\/p>\n

The South Australian team is this year being supported by the Ken McGregor Fund<\/strong>, with more players being given the opportunity to travel interstate and represent South Australia following a break due to COVID-19 in 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are pleased to announce the teams representing South Australia in the 2021 Australian Teams Championships,\u201d said National Development Squad Coach, Sandon Stolle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur state has had great success in this event in the past. We wish our players the very best and look forward to a great tournament in Queensland.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis tournament is a wonderful opportunity for our South Australian players to represent our state on a national level,\u201d said Tennis SA CEO,\u00a0Debbie Sterrey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
