{"id":22376,"date":"2021-03-22T12:05:36","date_gmt":"2021-03-22T01:35:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/?p=22376"},"modified":"2021-03-22T12:07:29","modified_gmt":"2021-03-22T01:37:29","slug":"glenlea-women-claim-back-to-back-tennis-sa-state-league-premierships-while-seacliff-men-take-home-their-very-first","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/news\/2021\/03\/22\/glenlea-women-claim-back-to-back-tennis-sa-state-league-premierships-while-seacliff-men-take-home-their-very-first","title":{"rendered":"Glenlea women claim back-to-back Tennis SA State League premierships, while Seacliff men take home their very first"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Glenlea<\/strong> <strong>Tennis Club<\/strong> have taken back-to-back <strong>Tennis SA State League\u00a0<\/strong>women\u2019s titles at Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Sunday afternoon, with the <strong>Seacliff\u00a0Tennis Club<\/strong> men\u2019s team<strong> <\/strong>claiming their first ever State League title with an emphatic victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\nthe women\u2019s, the match was locked at two rubbers all following the singles,\nbefore Glenlea pushed ahead in the doubles to see them take home their second\nState League premiership in a row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a great feeling\nto know that we have been able to win this premiership twice in a row and that\nwe have such great depth in our team,\u201d Glenlea team captain,&nbsp;<strong>Olivia\nLey&nbsp;<\/strong>said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was an extremely tough match! We definitely knew it wasn\u2019t going to be easy, but it was great to get out there and have a battle, they are a really strong team and deserved to be in the final as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was fantastic\ntoday to play in front of a decent sized crowd and have other people here\nwatching, it was really nice to experience the full atmosphere.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile in the men\u2019s competition, Seacliff took a three rubbers to one lead in to the doubles before claiming the premiership, the third premiership for the club this season following side-by-side victories by their boys and girls Tennis SA Junior State League teams on Friday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was pretty tight. It was 50\/50 with all the matches, but we dug deep and got the victory in the end,\u201d Seacliff team captain, <strong>Mislav Bosnjak\u00a0<\/strong>said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe just went out\nthere and backed each other in every point.
