{"id":22362,"date":"2021-03-20T11:31:44","date_gmt":"2021-03-20T01:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/?p=22362"},"modified":"2021-03-20T11:40:20","modified_gmt":"2021-03-20T01:10:20","slug":"seacliff-tennis-club-crowned-2020-21-tennis-sa-junior-state-league-champions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/news\/2021\/03\/20\/seacliff-tennis-club-crowned-2020-21-tennis-sa-junior-state-league-champions","title":{"rendered":"Seacliff Tennis Club crowned 2020\/21 Tennis SA Junior State League champions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Seacliff Tennis Club <\/strong>girls have claimed their third straight&nbsp;<strong>Tennis SA Junior State League&nbsp;<\/strong>victory following an action packed Friday evening at Next Generation Memorial Drive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seacliff also claimed the Junior State League boys premiership,\nwith <strong>Broadview Tennis Club<\/strong> claiming the Green Ball Junior State League\npremiership. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the girls\u2019, Seacliff defeated the young Athelstone side four rubbers to two. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s really exciting,\nespecially having both Seacliff boys and girls teams in the grand final,\u201d\nSeacliff girls\u2019 team captain,&nbsp;<strong>Cydney Crumbie&nbsp;<\/strong>said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was always going to\nbe a really tough match because we know they have barely lost all season. We told\nour team to go out and enjoy it and play the best that they could. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHopefully this will\nencourage the kids that coming through at the club and give them the aspiration\nto hopefully get to a final one day as well.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile in the boys\u2019 competition, Seacliff took a four rubbers to two win over Trinity Gardens to claim their second Junior State League premiership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m really happy, I\nthink the boys did a great job to get through lots of close matches,\u201d Seacliff\nboys\u2019 team captain,&nbsp;<strong>Lachlan Brain<\/strong>&nbsp;said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBefore the game we knew it wasn\u2019t going to be easy and we were expecting it to be a battle.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJunior State League is awesome because you are playing as a team and you know you\u2019re going to get a tough match every week. It is great to have lots of juniors out here playing.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tennis SA Leagues\nCoordinator&nbsp;<strong>Luke Taylor<\/strong>&nbsp;was pleased to congratulate the\nwinning sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to congratulate the 2020\/21 Tennis SA Junior State League champions, Seacliff Tennis Club,\u201d Taylor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis win takes the Seacliff girls to three Junior State League premierships in a row and both teams thoroughly deserve this result following a great home and away season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Our congratulations also to the 2020\/21 Tennis SA Green Ball Junior State League premiers, Broadview Tennis Club.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tennis SA would like to thank all clubs, players and volunteers who have participated in this year\u2019s Junior State League and Green Ball Junior State League.
