Cobdogla\u00a0Primary\u00a0School<\/strong>\u00a0(Cobdogla, SA) and Torrens Valley Christian School\u00a0<\/strong>(Hope Valley, SA) have been named the 2020 South Australian ANZ Tennis Hot Shots school state champions, after winning their respective competitions at the Tennis SA Clay Courts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The events are the culmination of 46 ANZ Tennis Hot Shots District\nSchool Carnivals held around the state throughout 2020. The State Final was due\nto be played in November but was delayed due to COVID restrictions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed to provide a pathway for students to\nparticipate in inter school sport, the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots School Carnivals\nprovide the opportunity for students of all abilities to play with their school\nfriends and meet other students from surrounding schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a round robin style draw, the schools play\ndoubles matches with simple scoring and time keeping to ensure all students are\nactively able to participate on the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tennis SA CEO Debbie Sterrey<\/strong> congratulated\nall involved in the state finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe congratulate Cobdogla Primary School, Torrens Valley Christian School and each of the schools, teachers and parents involved in the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots School State Finals last weej week,\u201d Sterrey said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese events provide school children with a\nfantastic introduction to our ANZ Tennis Hot Shots program, utilising smaller\ncourts, lighter racquets and low compression tennis balls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe look forward to our 2021 ANZ Tennis Hot Shots\nDistrict School Carnivals commencing soon and we can\u2019t wait to see lots of\nschool children taking part across the state.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
