{"id":22167,"date":"2021-02-12T10:21:22","date_gmt":"2021-02-11T23:51:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/?p=22167"},"modified":"2021-03-11T15:40:47","modified_gmt":"2021-03-11T05:10:47","slug":"volunteer-and-club-of-the-month-january","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/news\/2021\/02\/12\/volunteer-and-club-of-the-month-january","title":{"rendered":"Volunteer and Club of the Month &#8211; January"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>CLUBS OF THE MONTH<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WILLUNGA TENNIS CLUB<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Willunga Tennis Club <\/strong>recently signed up SA tennis identity and Davis Cup player Brod Dyke as head coach while also securing Matt Waye as their new President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A new, invigorated committee\nwas also recently appointed and keen to build momentum further in such areas as\nsocial tennis, sponsorships with local businesses and competition numbers,\nwhilst simultaneously promoting Tennis SA initiatives including ClubSpark and\nOpen Court Sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations to <strong><em>Willunga Tennis Club<\/em><\/strong><em>!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MACCLESFIELD\nTENNIS CLUB<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Macclesfield Tennis Club <\/strong>are always looking for ways to ensure the future of tennis in the local community thrives. They have been proactive in upgrading their facilities over the years, and more recently looking to resurface their courts. Their exceptional collaboration with other recreation ground tenants makes them an excellent example of a rural multi-use facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations to <strong><em>Macclesfield Tennis Club<\/em><\/strong><em>!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VOLUNTEERS OF THE MONTH<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Karen Baraglia<\/strong> has been involved with Macclesfield Tennis Club since 1983 and became the Treasurer in 1996, the same year she also became the Junior Recording Secretary for Onkaparinga Tennis Association, to then move up to Association Treasurer in 2007. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Karen has successfully been\ninvolved with the process of applying for and administering a number of grants\nfor facility upgrades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations<em> <strong>Karen!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aref Ahmadi<\/strong> has been with Grange Lawn Tennis Club since 2005, starting as a junior player and now heavily involved in the committee as the Treasurer.
