The\ninaugural South Australian Teams Challenge <\/strong>was held in Adelaide this\nweek with 36 players from around the state taking part in the two day event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tennis\nSA, in conjunction with West Lakes Tennis Club, hosted the brand new event from\nMonday 14 to Tuesday 15 December 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representative\nteams from Regional South Australia<\/strong> and Metropolitan South Australia<\/strong>\ntook on each other in 13\/u, 15\/u and 17\/u age groups, with Regional\nSouth Australia winning each of the three age groups along with the overall\nteams championship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The individual event utilised Universal\nTennis Ratings (UTR) to provide further competitive play opportunities for\nparticipants.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to have hosted the South Australian Teams Challenge for representative players from around the state,\u201d Tennis SA Competitions Lead, Luke Doughty <\/strong>said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhilst\nthe COVID pandemic prevented our usual pathway to a national level, this event\nhas been a great success, presenting new opportunities for players from both\nregional and metropolitan South Australia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur\ncongratulations to team champions Regional South Australia and to all of the\nplayers who have been a part of the event. A sincere thank you must also go to\nthe West Lakes Tennis Club for their generous hospitality, time and efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
